Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Azorius artifact and Vehicle deck led by Mendicant Core, Guidelight. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost artifacts and creatures early to deal combat damage each turn, quickly progressing the Speed mechanic from 1 to Max Speed 4 by Turn 5. Once Max Speed is active, Mendicant Core duplicates every artifact spell you cast for a single generic mana, creating overwhelming board presence and card value. The commander's power scales with your total artifact count, turning it into a formidable combat threat that can eliminate opponents in tandem with heavy Vehicles like Guidelight Pathmaker and Detention Chariot. Evasion enablers such as Whirler Rogue, Mu Yanling, Wind Rider, and Pride of the Road ensure your large attackers push through blockers. While the deck lacks fast combo finishes and remains vulnerable to mass artifact sweepers, its dense mana ramp and strong recovery allow it to consistently outvalue and run over opposing boards in mid-game combat.
