Badger Badger Badger Mushroom Mushroom by Psyga315

Format: Commander

Commander: Hugs, Grisly Guardian

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul token-and-value strategy helmed by Hugs, Grisly Guardian. The primary plan is to ramp into a large X-cost Hugs, exile a chunk of the library, and then play the exiled cards over the next two turns while also dropping an extra land each turn. The 99 is packed with Fungus tribal synergies - spore counters, Saproling generation, +1/+1 counter payoffs, and devour mechanics - plus a handful of high-impact standalone cards like Protean Hulk, Mana Echoes, and Portal to Phyrexia. The deck wins through combat: building a wide board of Saprolings, Spirits, Dragons, and Beasts, then pumping them with anthems (Sporecrown Thallid, Eldrazi Monument, March of the World Ooze) and +1/+1 counter enablers. There are no infinite combos, so the win condition is purely incremental damage over multiple turns.
