Deck overview

Kona, Rescue Beastie pilots a mono-green stompy cheat deck. The primary plan is to ramp aggressively, cast Kona, then use its Survival ability in the second main phase-usually after attacking-to put a huge permanent into play. Secondary paths use Eladamri, Korvecdal, Defense of the Heart, Selvala's Stampede, and Last March of the Ents to deploy extra fatties, backed by heavy draw from Soul of the Harvest, Garruk, Primal Hunter, and Garruk's Uprising. The deck wins by overwhelming opponents with trampling 6/6 to 15/15 creatures, amplified by Unnatural Growth, Kamahl, Heart of Krosa, or a one-shot Jumbo Cactuar. It is a straightforward value-stompy build with enough redundancy to function after Kona dies, though it is soft to board wipes.
