Wheels by BlackLicorice

Format: Commander

Commander: Xyris, the Writhing Storm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Temur wheel-token deck helmed by Xyris, the Writhling Storm, built to convert every opponent draw into a 1/1 Snake army. The core loop is simple and explosive: resolve a wheel effect like Wheel of Fortune or Reforge the Soul, watch Xyris's trigger flood the board with Snakes, then either drain the table through Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, and Goblin Bombardment, or crack in with a Craterhoof Behemoth-empowered swarm. A secondary drain line runs through Psychosis Crawler, Razorkin Needlehead, and Scrawling Crawler, which turn each wheel into a massive life swing even without combat. The deck leans on a dense hexproof/indestructible protection suite to keep Xyris alive, and a handful of counterspells to protect the critical wheel turn.
