Deck overview

This Mono-Green Stompy deck harnesses high-stat, low-cost creatures to reduce the casting cost of Ghalta, Primal Hunger to just two green mana. The primary strategy accelerates early with efficient mana dorks on Turn 1, deploys over-statted beaters like Steel Leaf Champion and Pugnacious Hammerskull on Turns 2 and 3, and casts a 12/12 Trample commander as early as Turn 4. Once established, the deck leverages power-matters card draw engines such as Garruk's Uprising and Rishkar's Expertise to maintain hand velocity without stalling. Finishing lines rely on overwhelming combat damage amplified by mass pumps like Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth, or progressive commander damage across consecutive turns. While highly resilient to single-target removal due to rapid recast math, the deck remains vulnerable to mass board wipes and lacks stack interaction, requiring decisive combat sequencing to close out games before opponents assemble faster combo finishes.
