Commander: Doctor Doom, King of Latveria

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Doctor Doom, King of Latveria leads a Grixis Villain tribal deck built around the connive mechanic and widespread discard synergies. The primary game plan is to generate card advantage and board presence through repeated loot effects-cycling lands, Faithless Looting, Currency Converter-while triggering payoffs like Bone Miser, Monument to Endurance, and Archfiend of Ifnir. The commander provides a repeatable menace + connive trigger each combat, and his land-discard lifedrain adds incremental pressure. The deck wins through combat: a growing army of Villains, buffed by The Squadron Sinister (flying, haste, +2/+2) and Doctor Octopus, Master Planner (+2/+2), often finishing via Glorious Purpose (free spells from exiled cards) or Construct a Cosmic Cube (mind control). Recursion from the mayhem keyword and Thunderbolts Conspiracy (resurrection with finality) keeps the board resilient.
