Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Zombie tribal aristocrats build helmed by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. The primary strategy focuses on assembling an army of recurring Zombies, sacrificing them for continuous card advantage, and punishing opponents through life-drain triggers whenever creatures die. Wilhelt sits in the command zone as both an engine enabler and a card draw outlet, generating 2/2 decayed Zombie tokens whenever nontoken Zombies die. The deck scales into the midgame using tribal lords like Death Baron and Undead Warchief to apply combat pressure, while permanents like Diregraf Captain, Bastion of Remembrance, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel convert board states into lethal life swings. While the deck contains a clean infinite combo in Rooftop Storm and Acererak the Archlich, its lack of fast mana and generic tutors grounds it firmly in focused bracket play.
