Smaug v2 by tomlok0001

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Magnificent is a mono-red treasure-engine commander: his upkeep creates a Treasure and his haste attack converts every Treasure into direct damage. This list snowballs tokens with Goldspan Dragon, Brass's Bounty, Xorn, and Academy Manufactor, then finishes with artifact pingers (Reckless Fireweaver, Ingenious Artillerist) or a multiplied Crackle with Power. There is no hidden commander and no double-faced commander; Smaug is the only command-zone engine. Secondary lines are Dragon beatdown and damage doubling/tripling. The deck is high on draw and looting but has almost no enchantment removal, making it fast yet fragile to the right hate card.
