Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue spellslinger control strategy built around Taigam, Master Opportunist. Taigam's flurry mechanic copies the second spell cast each turn and suspends the original card with four time counters. The deck leverages this capability to double the efficiency of cantrips, card draw, and interaction while stocking exile with future spells that tick down on upkeeps. Acceleration from artifact rocks and cost reducers enables smooth two-spell sequencing by turn 4. The win condition relies on spell-based token engines such as Talrand, Sky Summoner and Shark Typhoon, which translate flurried sequences into an overwhelming air force. Supporting pieces like Paradox Haze and Sphinx of the Second Sun accelerate time counters to release suspended bombs ahead of schedule. While exposed to sweepers due to relying on combat damage, a robust counterspell package and cheap commander recast costs provide strong resilience.
