Deck overview

This deck is a high-power control and combo-adjacent strategy commanded by Jace, Multiverse Architect. The entire creature suite in the 99 consists of 13 massive, game-dominating threats, with no small utility creatures included. Instead, early game development focuses on cheap artifact ramp, library manipulation, and noncreature token producers such as Bitterblossom, Skrelv's Hive, and Black Market Connections. On turn 4, the deck deploys Jace and immediately uses his minus 3 ability to exile a token and polymorph it into a devastating monster like Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, Void Winnower, Toxrill, the Corrosive, or Blightsteel Colossus. Backed by cheap counterspells, proactive disruption, and redundant cheat spells such as Polymorph and Transmogrify, the deck locks down opposing resources while quickly ending the game through lethal combat damage.
