Commander: Captain Howler, Sea Scourge

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Captain Howler, Sea Scourge is an Izzet discard-matters beatdown deck. The primary plan is to land Captain Howler on turn three, then use looting and rummage effects to pump him with +2/+0 per discarded card and draw extra cards, closing with commander damage. The hidden commander is Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator: with Glint-Horn Buccaneer attacking, each discard makes three Treasures and pings each opponent, creating a mana-positive loop that kills the table. Backup paths include Faerie and Drake tokens from Improbable Alliance and Drake Haven, plus pirate/treasure beaters. The deck is fast but fragile, with no protection for its key creatures and no board wipes.
