Deck overview

This mono-black deck is led by Massacre Girl, Known Killer and focuses on asymmetric board control through wither, -1/-1 counters, and a dense cycling engine. The commander grants wither to all friendly creatures and converts dead opposing creatures with negative toughness into steady card draw. The early game establishes mana development and cycling velocity using tools like Fluctuator, Sol Ring, and Black Market Connections. Around Turn 4 to 5, the deck deploys game-shifting attrition pieces such as Archfiend of Ifnir, Nest of Scarabs, or Massacre Wurm, clearing opposing creature boards while refilling the pilot's hand. Victory is achieved through overwhelming Insect token swarms from Nest of Scarabs, persistent drain from Blood Artist and Massacre Wurm, or the infinite loop between Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs. While exceptionally dominant against creature-heavy strategies, the list faces challenges when handling resolved artifacts, enchantments, or fast spell-based combo decks.
