Deck overview

This Azorius Merfolk deck swarms the board with tokens and lords to win through unblockable combat. It uses Harbinger of the Seas to turn opposing nonbasic lands into Islands, then gives its team islandwalk with Lord of Atlantis, Master of the Pearl Trident and Sygg to push lethal damage. Token engines like Deeproot Pilgrimage and Emperor Mihail II plus anthem effects build a wide board, while Wanderwine Prophets can chain extra turns for the finish. Sygg, River Guide is a cheap protector that grants protection and islandwalk but is not the engine; Emperor Mihail II acts as the hidden draw engine. Interaction and countermagic protect the board while Opposition and Intruder Alarm provide soft locks.
