Deck overview

Auntie Ool, Cursewretch leads a dedicated Jund -1/-1 counter midrange engine designed to turn creature attrition into card advantage and life drain. The deck builds board presence in the early turns using synergistic mana dorks like Devoted Druid and value engines like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons. Once Auntie Ool, Cursewretch enters on turn 4, blighting your own creatures draws cards while blighting opposing creatures drains their controllers. Mid-game plays leverage Kulrath Knight and Maha, Its Feathers Night to incapacitate opposing boards while Nest of Scarabs and Obelisk Spider convert every placed counter into a widening token army and table-wide life loss. The deck closes games around turn 8 via combined token combat damage and recurring drain, with an infinite fallback loop using Blowfly Infestation and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons. Without noncreature tutors, the list relies on deep card draw to find answers and finishers while remaining resilient to attrition.
