Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Spellslinger Combo-Control deck piloted by Niv-Mizzet, Parun. Its game plan centers on smoothing early land drops with efficient cantrips, deploying cost-reducers, and resolving its uncounterable commander by Turn 6. Once Niv-Mizzet is on the board, it weaponizes every spell cast by any player into card advantage and board control. The primary win condition is attaching Curiosity to Niv-Mizzet to trigger a deterministic damage loop that finishes all three opponents. As an alternate win condition, the deck features the classic Splinter Twin and Deceiver Exarch infinite token combination, supported by token producers such as Talrand, Sky Summoner and Shark Typhoon. While the deck possesses explosive draw power and strong spell synergy, its strict {U}{U}{U}{R}{R}{R} mana requirement and vulnerability to targeted creature removal before untapping require careful timing and proactive protection.
