Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Izzet spellslinger strategy commanded by Kaza, Roil Chaser. The game plan revolves around flooding the board with low-cost Wizard creatures that serve dual roles: reducing spell costs through static abilities and amplifying Kaza's activated tap ability to discount massive instants and sorceries. Once assembled on Turn 4, the deck shifts into a storm-style engine using card-drawing engines like Archmage Emeritus and trigger multipliers like Veyran, Voice of Duality and Harmonic Prodigy. On Turn 5, discounted spells fuel continuous burn damage from Coruscation Mage and Sorcerer Class, while generating an evasive army of Drake and Fractal tokens with Talrand, Sky Summoner and Deekah, Fractal Theorist. A compact two-card infinite combo featuring Ral, Storm Conduit and Return the Favor provides an alternate instant win. Supported by efficient countermagic and redirection protection, the deck reliably closes out games on Turn 6.
