Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet chaos and symmetrical draw strategy piloted by Ian Malcolm, Chaotician. The core game plan accelerates mana on the opening turns to deploy Ian Malcolm alongside group-draw permanents like Howling Mine and Dictate of Kruphix. As all players draw multiple cards each turn, Ian Malcolm exiles the top cards of their libraries into a shared exile pool that lets players cast their opponents' spells using any mana type. The deck breaks parity through exile-casting payoffs like Nalfeshnee and The Twelfth Doctor, while weaponizing forced draws through Niv-Mizzet, Parun, Scrawling Crawler, and Fevered Visions. High-impact wheels like Wheel of Fortune and Windfall rapidly deplete life totals and fuel Alandra, Sky Dreamer for wide aerial combat finishes. While the deck creates high variance and feeds opponents cards, defensive tools like Homeward Path and Brand ensure you retain control of your own assets.
