marchesa by akillbearclaw

Format: Commander

Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Marchesa, the Black Rose leads a Grixis sacrifice-value deck that turns +1/+1 counters into recurring threats. The primary plan is to put counters on creatures through dethrone, Gev, Uncivil Unrest, and Unspeakable Symbol, then sacrifice them to Carrion Feeder, Goblin Bombardment, or Warren Soultrader so Marchesa returns them at the next end step. Secondary paths steal opponents' creatures with threaten effects and keep them via Grave Betrayal, or drain with Gray Merchant and Flayer of the Hatebound. The cleanest finisher is Mikaeus plus Triskelion with any sacrifice outlet for infinite damage. Gev acts as a hidden commander by supercharging every creature that enters after opponents lose life.
