Commander: Talion, the Kindly Lord

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a Dimir (UB) cEDH-style control-combo deck helmed by Talion, the Kindly Lord. The primary game plan is to assemble the Thassa's Oracle + Demonic Consultation/Tainted Pact two-card combo to win the game outright. The deck is packed with premium tutors (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Imperial Seal) and fast mana (Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Chrome Mox, Lotus Petal) to accelerate into the combo. Talion provides a steady stream of card advantage, punishing opponents for casting spells of the chosen mana value. Secondary win conditions include Mindcrank + Bloodchief Ascension (infinite mill/life-loss loop) and Hullbreaker Horror + mana-rock loops for infinite mana. The deck features a dense interaction suite with 10 free counterspells and instant-speed answers covering artifacts, creatures, and enchantments, protecting the combo turn from disruption.
