Deck overview

This Mono-Red deck is commanded by Venser, Fervent Forger, functioning as a clone-centric midrange engine with spellslinger elements. Rather than relying on its commander to proactively develop a board, the deck leverages a dense package of creature-duplication permanents including Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink, and Rionya, Fire Dancer. These engines multiply the value of high-impact threats like Combustible Gearhulk and Goldspan Dragon, converting temporary token copies into explosive combat damage and burn triggers. Mana velocity is supported by dense 2-CMC rocks, treasure producers, and red rituals that accelerate deployment ahead of curve. The deck also carries a compact infinite combo in Dualcaster Mage and Electroduplicate, providing an instant closing line. While strong at generating combat velocity and punishing nonbasic manabases with Blood Moon, the deck struggles to remove resolved enchantments and relies heavily on untapping across multiple turns to close out all three opponents.
