Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Sphinx tribal and reanimator deck commanded by The Ur-Sphinx. It capitalizes on its commander's Eminence ability to reduce the casting cost of all Sphinx spells by one generic mana directly from the command zone. Supported by low-cost mana artifacts and cost reducers like Heartless Summoning, the deck reliably accelerates into high-impact Sphinxes such as Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign, Consecrated Sphinx, and Tivit, Seller of Secrets by Turn 4. Once established, these creatures generate massive card advantage, dig deeply through the library, and fill the graveyard with threats. The primary path to victory involves developing an overwhelming air force of massive flyers, dropping an opponent to 10 life with Magister Sphinx on Turn 6, and closing the table on Turn 8 with Akroma's Will or mass reanimation spells like Bloodline Bidding and Rise of the Dark Realms. Efficient interaction and defensive enchantments protect life totals during development.
