Deck overview

This Golgari deck is a dedicated self-mill, reanimator, and aristocrats engine commanded by Grist, Voracious Larva. The primary game plan revolves around rapidly filling the graveyard using efficient dredgers such as Golgari Grave-Troll and continuous mill enablers like Stitcher's Supplier and Ripples of Undeath. Once early graveyard velocity is established, the deck flips its commander into Grist, the Plague Swarm by recurring a creature, generating a steady stream of 1/1 Insect tokens and additional self-mill. The midgame leverages reanimation spells like Victimize, Reanimate, and Dread Return to deploy massive threats such as Colossal Grave-Reaver or token swarms from Aatchik, Emerald Radian and Izoni, Thousand-Eyed. The deck closes games through overwhelming combat damage amplified by delirium overruns like Demolisher Spawn and Rumbleweed, or by draining opponents through sacrifice engines with Warren Soultrader, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and Aatchik's death triggers.
