New Untitled Deck by boboo47

Format: Commander

Commander: Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black value-based strategy helmed by Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor. The primary game plan uses Gix's first ability to draw cards from combat damage (triggered by evasive creatures like Changeling Outcast and Tormented Soul) and his second ability to exile opponents' libraries and cast their spells. The deck packs dense mana acceleration (Crypt Ghast, Magus of the Coffers, Dark Ritual), powerful recursion (Phyrexian Reclamation, Sheoldred, Whispering One), and life-drain payoffs (Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Psychosis Crawler). Win conditions include the Peer into the Abyss + Psychosis Crawler/Underworld Dreams combo, Bolas's Citadel value, and massive devotion from Gray Merchant. The deck grinds incremental advantage through draw engines and evasive attacks before finishing with a large mana sink.
