Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-black Zombie Tribal Aristocrats build commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The primary strategy focuses on deploying efficient, high-power creatures like Rotting Regisaur and converting them into massive armies of 2/2 Zombie tokens using Gisa's activated ability. The deck leverages tribal lords such as Undead Warchief, Death Baron, and Lord of the Accursed to turn wide token boards into lethal combat threats while granting evasion via menace or swampwalk. In parallel, aristocrat payoffs including Ayara, First of Locthwain, Plague Belcher, and Vengeful Dead punish opponents for clearing the board, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel delivers devastating life swings fueled by high black devotion. The deck generates substantial card advantage through engines like Skullclamp, Cryptbreaker, and Undead Augur. Its primary limitations stem from reliance on commander untap steps without haste, vulnerability to mass exile or sweepers, and an absence of stack-based interaction.
