Averna Cascade by AgentGrif

Format: Commander

Commander: Averna, the Chaos Bloom

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a **cascade/landfall value engine** helmed by Averna, the Chaos Bloom. The primary game plan involves chaining high-CMC cascade spells like Apex Devastator and Bloodbraid Elf to flood the board with threats, while Averna turns each cascade into a rampant Harrow by putting lands from exile onto the battlefield tapped. This accelerates into landfall payoffs such as Avenger of Zendikar and Phylath, World Sculptor, building overwhelming token armies. The deck also contains a compact infinite combat combo via Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts, and a poison-alternate win with Etali, Primal Conquerer's transformation. Without tutors or efficient card draw, the deck relies heavily on the natural velocity of cascade chains to generate advantage, making it a slow but explosive battlecruiser strategy.
