Format: Commander

Commander: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Grand Arbiter Augustin IV leads a control and taxation strategy that restricts opponents' mana while accelerating your own plays. By casting your commander early, you make your white and blue spells cheaper and tax every opponent spell by one mana. This mana disparity allows you to disrupt opposing lines using cheap counterspells and spot removal while deploying value creatures, flying threats, and Vehicles. You win primarily through evasive combat damage, scaling creatures like Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker, and overwhelming the board late game with wide clone effects like Multiversal Incursion or team-wide pump spells.
