Deck overview

This Kaalia of the Vast deck is a fast, combat-centric deck designed to cheat devastating Angels, Demons, and Dragons onto the battlefield. The strategy uses cheap mana rocks like Sol Ring and Talismans to cast Kaalia of the Vast on Turn 3. On Turn 4, Kaalia attacks and drops massive creatures into play tapped and attacking. Her signature interaction with Master of Cruelties eliminates an opponent in a single combat step by reducing their life total to 1 before Kaalia deals combat damage. High-impact flyers like Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames provide rapid follow-up damage to eliminate the remaining opponents. The deck protects its commander using low-cost spells and equipment such as Blacksmith's Skill, Lightning Greaves, and Skrelv, Defector Mite. If Kaalia faces heavy removal, reanimation pieces like Animate Dead and Feldon of the Third Path keep large threats flowing.
