Deck overview

This Selesnya deck centers on Kudo, King Among Bears, setting all other creatures across the table to a base power and toughness of 2/2 and making them Bears. The strategy weaponizes this static rule by deploying global anthems, tribal payoffs, and scaling Auras that elevate your own creatures while shrinking opposing threats. Key synergies turn symmetrical parity into a one-sided advantage. Ayula, Queen Among Bears triggers fighting and counter distribution whenever any of your new Bears enter, easily dominating opposing 2/2s. Cards like Alpha Status and Stoneforge Masterwork scale exponentially because every creature on the battlefield is now a Bear. Card draw engines like Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar, Eidolon of Blossoms, and Tocasia's Welcome sustain resources as you build a commanding board. Protection spells and Umbra Auras shield your key threats from spot removal and board wipes, letting you close out games through overwhelming combat damage across multiple combat steps.
