Turtles BGU by Fenblade

Format: Commander

Commander: Archelos, Lagoon Mystic

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Archelos, Lagoon Mystic leads a Sultai turtle tribal deck that leans heavily on Gates and land synergies. The primary plan is to develop a high-toughness board of Turtles, then close with toughness-based combat via Assault Formation, Bedrock Tortoise, or The Pride of Hull Clade. A secondary path assembles the Maze's End Gate win, using Archelos and Amulet of Vigor to make tapped Gates enter untapped. The commander is a stax/utility piece: keeping him untapped accelerates your own lands, while tapping him slows opponents' permanents. The deck also contains a compact infinite-mana combo with Freed from the Real, Lotus Field, and Saryth, the Viper's Fang, which can power a huge Walking Ballista-style outlet or draw spells.
