Spell-Slinging Slasher by Macksonjeyer

Format: Commander

Commander: The Emperor of Palamecia // The Lord Master of Hell

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Izzet spell-slinging burn-and-tempo deck built around The Emperor of Palamecia and its transformation into The Lord Master of Hell. The front half is a two-mana "mana rock" that only casts noncreature spells, and it transforms after three noncreature spells with four or more mana are spent. The 99 is packed with instant/sorcery and magecraft payoffs: Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, Archmage Emeritus, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Third Path Iconoclast turn every spell into damage, cards, treasure, and tokens, while Lier, Disciple of the Drowned gives every instant and sorcery in the graveyard flashback. The primary plan is to grind the whole table down with repeated spell triggers, then flip the commander and attack with The Lord Master of Hell's Starfall trigger, which deals damage equal to the number of noncreature, nonland cards in your graveyard to every opponent. Copy effects like Narset's Reversal and Expansion // Explosion provide the explosive turns.
