Deck overview

This Gruul deck is led by Kibo, Uktabi Prince and focuses on Ape and Monkey tribal synergies, +1/+1 counter growth, and targeted artifact destruction. The strategy revolves around casting Kibo early and tapping him to distribute Banana tokens to every player. As opponents sacrifice their Bananas for mana and life, or as you forcibly shatter opposing artifacts with cards like Meltdown, Gorilla Shaman, and Vandalblast, Kibo places +1/+1 counters on your entire primate army. Counter multipliers like Branching Evolution and Hardened Scales accelerate this growth rapidly. Card advantage engines like Viridian Revel and Inspiring Call keep your hand stocked while your creatures grow into overwhelming threats. The deck finishes games by turning its oversized Apes sideways, breaking through opposing defenses with trample from Overrun, Kessig Wolf Run, or stealing opposing blockers with Mob Rule. The list plays a fair, proactive combat plan backed by heavy anti-artifact control.
