Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Grixis aggro-aristocrats list piloted by Loki, the Deceiver. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap, value-generating Villains on early turns, followed by Loki to clone them as tapped-and-attacking Illusions each combat step. These cloned attackers trigger lethal enter-the-battlefield abilities, connive looting, and combat-damage card draw. At the end step, the illusion tokens sacrifice themselves, which fuels death triggers like Venom, Eddie Brock and death-tax enchantments like Dictate of Erebos. The deck relies on dense 2-CMC ramp to accelerate out its commander, protecting key plays with ferocious-enabled counters like Stubborn Denial and Bolt Bend. While the deck does not field fast infinite combos or high-powered stax locks, it generates immense combat pressure and compounding card advantage through redundant clone spells, resilient recursion, and wide creature swings.
