Deck overview

This deck is a mono-green big mana engine built around Patron of the Orochi. It accelerates mana through efficient dorks, land ramps, and powerful land-scaling permanents like Gaea's Cradle and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. The commander functions as a massive mana multiplier by untapping all Forests and green creatures on each player's turn. This surplus mana fuels explosive power-based card draw spells such as Last March of the Ents and Rishkar's Expertise, drawing deep into the library to locate decisive finishers. The deck closes games around Turn 5 by casting Finale of Devastation with X >= 10, Genesis Wave, or cheating massive armies into play alongside haste enablers like Surrak and Goreclaw and Concordant Crossroads. While vulnerable to mass bounce and exile sweepers, a dense defensive suite featuring Heroic Intervention and Asceticism reliably protects its development.
