Smaugy with a chance of Meatballs by Ulty

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable turns own noncombat damage into Treasures, so the deck's primary plan is to land Smaug, then hit it with Lightning Bolt, Stonesplitter Bolt, or Blasphemous Act to stockpile tokens. It can finish with a huge Torment of Hailfire/Exsanguinate, Revel in Riches, or Hellkite Tyrant. A compact Chain of Smog + Professor Onyx combo is the fastest route, with tutors and ritual mana accelerating it; the 99 also contains Smaug, Wicked Worm as a hidden reanimation payoff and Smaug the Magnificent as a repeatable attacker. Without the commander, the spell-slinger/magecraft package still drains or pings opponents, but loses the best source of explosive mana.
