Deck overview

This mono-blue deck leverages Katara, Waterbending Master to turn reactive flash-speed play into overwhelming card advantage. By casting cantrips, counterspells, and spot removal on opponents' turns, Katara rapidly stacks experience counters. When Katara attacks, she converts those counters into massive card draw that fuels second-stage payoffs. The deck wins by weaponizing this draw volume through Psychosis Crawler life drain, Psychic Corrosion mill, or large token boards from Ominous Seas, Talrand, Sky Summoner, and Shark Typhoon. Evasion Auras and Equipment ensure Katara attacks safely each turn, while a dense suite of 1- and 2-mana interactive spells protects the board and disrupts opposing game plans simultaneously. Because experience counters stay on the player, the deck recovers swiftly from commander removal.
