Deck overview

This mono-green stompy deck maximizes mana efficiency by converting cheap, high-power creatures into rapid cost reduction for Ghalta, Primal Hunger. By pairing 1-mana ramp spells with under-costed threats like Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Tangleweave Armor, the deck reliably casts a 12/12 trampling commander on Turn 4 for just two green mana. Once Ghalta hits the battlefield, the deck transitions into a lethal combat clock, leveraging power-based draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and Rishkar's Expertise to sustain continuous card advantage. Massive combat finishers like Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth allow the deck to eliminate opponents across consecutive turn cycles. While the strategy boasts tremendous board presence and rapid engine recovery, it remains vulnerable to prolonged board wipes and instant-speed removal due to limited innate protection and an absence of stack-based countermagic.
