Whtz's collection of tomes by JackinBlackMTG

Format: Commander

Commander: Whtz, the Bibliophile

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a 299-card Azorius 'big deck' control/combo list built around Whtz, the Bibliophile, whose activation cost is reduced to {0} because the starting deck exceeds 200 cards. The primary plan is to resolve Battle of Wits and protect it to the upkeep; the secondary path uses Whtz and large draw effects to fuel hand-size payoffs (Psychosis Crawler, Triskaidekaphile, Twenty-Toed Toad) or a two-cast Approach of the Second Sun. A tertiary token strategy uses Hare Apparent and Templar Knight to reach Halo Fountain or Aetherflux Reservoir. Whtz is a repeatable draw/life engine rather than a combo piece; functionally, Krang and Shabraz amplify the draw triggers when Whtz is absent.
