Deck overview

This Auntie Ool, Cursewretch deck is a dedicated Jund -1/-1 counters and wither midrange engine. The game plan focuses on utilizing the blight mechanic and counter distribution to convert board manipulation into card advantage and asymmetric life drain. In the early game, the deck accelerates mana with dorks and artifacts before resolving Auntie Ool on Turn 4. Once assembled, self-targeting counters from cards like Devoted Druid and Sinister Gnarlbark fuel steady card draw while spreading counters to opposing threats slowly saps their life totals. During the mid-to-late game, powerhouse permanents such as Kulrath Knight, Carnifex Demon, and Necroskitter establish a near-complete lockout over opposing combat and creature boards. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through wide token swarms from Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, combined with steady life drain from Obelisk Spider and Auntie Ool, or via an infinite loop between Blowfly Infestation and Hapatra.
