Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov enchantress and Aura Voltron build piloted by Killian, Decisive Mentor. It focuses on controlling the board through forced combat, goad mechanics, and efficient Aura deployment. Early turns focus on establishing cost-reducers like Starfield Mystic and Transcendent Envoy before casting Killian on Turn 3. Starting on Turn 4, every Aura cast triggers Killian to tap and goad an opposing creature, removing blockers and forcing opponents to attack one another. This constant combat triggers Killian's second ability to draw cards whenever enchanted creatures attack. The deck scales into the midgame with powerful token generators such as Archon of Sun's Grace and Sigil of the Empty Throne, or by suiting up Killian with Eldrazi Conscription, Sage's Reverie, and Ethereal Armor. Asymmetric board wipes like Winds of Rath clear opposing boards while keeping enchanted threats intact, closing the game around Turn 8 through overwhelming combat damage and life drain.
