Deck overview

This Raffine, Scheming Seer deck is an aggressive Esper tempo-reanimator deck designed to convert early combat pressure into devastating board-state dominance. By deploying cheap, evasive attackers on the first two turns, the deck casts Raffine on Turn 3 and leverages its connive ability on Turn 4 to loot away game-ending reanimation targets such as Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Archon of Cruelty, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and Archfiend of Ifnir. Cheap reanimation spells—including Reanimate, Animate Dead, Necromancy, and Victimize—bring these massive threats into play ahead of curve. While the reanimated Praetors and Demons strip opponents of hand sizes, clear opposing boards, and generate recurring card advantage, connive counters turn early utility creatures into formidable combat threats. Backed by a lean counterspell suite, efficient spot removal, and potent protection cards like Guardian of Faith and Surge of Salvation, the deck controls the pace of the game and closes out victory through relentless combat damage and attrition.
