Deck overview

This mono-black deck combines self-mill reanimation with an aristocrat infinite combo finish. Led by Baron Helmut Zemo, the deck leverages connive triggers to filter through cards while filling the graveyard with high-cost black permanents. The primary game plan revolves around assembling the infinite life-drain combination of Bloodthirsty Conqueror or Exquisite Blood with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Enduring Tenacity. The deck can assemble this finish by hardcasting pieces or by tutoring them to the graveyard with Buried Alive and returning them via Victimize or Dread Return. Alternatively, Baron Helmut Zemo can boast to cheat out up to three game-ending bombs like Vilis, Broker of Blood, Massacre Wurm, and Zodiark, Umbral God. Supported by asymmetric resource denial from Dauthi Voidwalker and massive board wipes, the deck reliably presents a format-standard Turn 5 critical clock.
