Commander: Gwenom, Remorseless

Deck overview

Gwenom, Remorseless is a mono-black lifelink-and-life-drain deck with a Vampire/horror creature core and a slower graveyard subtheme. The commander is not a combo piece; it gives an attack-triggered top-of-library cast effect and serves as a durable lifelink attacker. The main plan is to develop small drainers and lifelink creatures, convert life gain into damage with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, and use Gwenom to keep casting pressure while attacking. Secondary lines include copying creatures from graveyards with Ardyn or Shelob, recurring Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and making the commander huge with Aettir and Priwen. No infinite loop exists, so victories are built from repeated drain triggers and combat damage.
