Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Simic midrange strategy led by The Astonishing Ant-Man. The primary game plan revolves around converting card-draw velocity into +1/+1 counters on the commander, then cashing those counters in to produce a wide swarm of 1/1 Insect tokens. Once an army of Insects is established, the deck leverages mass mana producers like Cryptolith Rite and Enduring Vitality to cast game-ending overrun effects such as Overwhelming Stampede or Craterhoof Behemoth. The list also includes an infinite card-draw and mana loop through Mind Over Matter and Insight Engine as an alternate route to victory. A robust suite of low-cost countermagic and defensive spells like Heroic Intervention and Legolas's Quick Reflexes ensures that the board state remains protected against opposing sweepers and spot removal during critical execution turns.
