Deck overview

This is a classic Zedruu the Greathearted "donate harmful gifts" control deck. The primary game plan is to deploy disruptive permanents with detrimental drawbacks (Nine Lives, Illusions of Grandeur), then use Zedruu's activated ability or one of the many redundant donate effects to give them to an opponent. Once the opponent controls the harmful permanent, the deck removes it with instant-speed removal (Generous Gift, Grasp of Fate) to trigger the loss condition. Backup win conditions include Approach of the Second Sun (double cast), Felidar Sovereign (40 life via Zedruu's life gain), and Psychosis Crawler (draw-driven attrition). The deck is a slow, grindy control strategy that relies on accruing value through Zedruu's card draw and life gain while the table is pressured into attacking each other.
