Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Breena, the Demagogue to orchestrate multiplayer politics, +1/+1 counter scaling, and combat redirection. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost utility creatures and ramping into Breena by Turn 3. Starting on Turn 4, attacking opponents with unequal life totals triggers Breena's ability, drawing cards and rapidly placing +1/+1 counters on your evasive threats. Meanwhile, pillowfort pieces like Windborn Muse, Baird, Steward of Argive, and Nils, Discipline Enforcer, along with goad auras, discourage opponents from attacking you while incentivizing them to fight one another for card draw. By Turn 6, Breena and high-impact aerial threats like Sunscorch Regent, Shadrix Silverquill, and Combat Calligrapher grow into lethal beaters that eliminate opponents across successive turns. The deck features strong permanent removal and asymmetric sweepers such as Tragic Arrogance, but remains susceptible to mass board wipes due to a lack of instant-speed stack protection.
