Deck overview

This Azorius midrange deck centers on Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings, converting every card drawn into power and value. The strategy accelerates in the early turns with 2-CMC mana rocks and establishes Shang-Chi alongside potent card-draw engines like Rhystic Study, The Council of Four, and Danny Pink. As you draw multiple cards each turn cycle, Shang-Chi rapidly accumulates +1/+1 counters, triggering a massive five-card burst and life buffer upon reaching ten counters. The deck converts this immense physical and card advantage into victory through evasive combat, utilizing Herald of Secret Streams, Abzan Falconer, and unblockable spells to push through lethal commander or combat damage across consecutive turns. Robust interaction—anchored by efficient counterspells like Fierce Guardianship and flexible answers like Cyclonic Rift—protects your board and halts opposing win attempts. Resilient counter-retention pieces like The Ozolith and alternate win conditions like Twenty-Toed Toad and Psychosis Crawler ensure relentless pressure even under heavy removal.
