Deck overview

This deck is a high-power mono-blue Spellslinger Combo-Control deck commanded by Orvar, the All-Form. The core strategy revolves around leveraging cheap, single-target instants to duplicate permanents you control, rapidly accelerating mana by cloning basic Islands and generating high card velocity. The deck transitions into a decisive win by assembling Orvar alongside Peregrine Drake and a repeatable buyback targeting spell, primarily Whim of Volrath or Clockspinning. This interaction produces infinite mana and an infinite board of flying Drake tokens. By channeling infinite mana into cloned copies of Venser, Shaper Savant or Agent of Treachery, the deck completely clears or steals all opposing permanents, leaving opponents completely locked out before swinging for lethal damage on the subsequent turn. A robust suite of free and efficient countermagic protects the combo and disrupts opposing strategies.
