Deck overview

This deck utilizes Lorehold, the Historian to transform high-cost sorceries and instants into cheap {2}-mana miracle spells cast during opponents' upkeeps. Early turns focus on establishing land drops and deploying cheap scry permanents like Sensei's Divining Top, Burning Prophet, and Mazemind Tome to manipulate the top of the library. Once Lorehold enters on Turn 5, its upkeep ability triggers on each opponent's turn, discarding excess cards to draw and immediately fire miracles at instant speed. The primary win condition relies on overwhelming the board with Storm Herd or chaining high-damage burn spells like Explosive Welcome and Thunderous Wrath amplified by spell-damage pingers such as Guttersnipe and Firebrand Archer. The deck excels at explosive bursts of spell velocity on opposing turns, but it lacks hard countermagic, dedicated protection spells, and fast mana ramp. As a result, it operates as a high-synergy Boros spellslinger engine that wins through flying token swarms and cumulative burn damage.
