Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Group Slug and Attrition engine centered on Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The strategy pairs cheap, continuous damage sources like Razorkin Needlehead, Underworld Dreams, and Stormfist Crusader with Valgavoth in the command zone. Whenever opponents draw cards or take their turn, passive damage triggers Valgavoth to grow into a massive flying threat while drawing up to three extra cards every table rotation. As card advantage compounds, the deck layers damage multipliers like Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Torture Pit, life-gain denial via Rampaging Ferocidon, and massive drain finishers such as Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Massacre Wurm. Defensively, the deck controls creature swarms with Blasphemous Act and Damnation and redirects attacks using Kardur, Doomscourge. While the deck possesses explosive card flow and high redundancy, its multi-turn combat and burn clock remains vulnerable to board wipes due to limited stack-based protection.
