Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin, King of Durin's Folk

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thorin, King of Durin's Folk is a Boros Dwarf-tribal deck that turns every Dwarf ETB into Treasure and then turns those Treasures into an overwhelming combat step. The primary plan is to land Thorin early, chain Dwarves and Equipment to accumulate artifact tokens, and finish with mass token spells or Dain of the Ancient Halls' noncombat damage. Secondary lines use Balin, Loremaster as draw and burn, Goldspan Dragon for explosive mana, and Magda, Brazen Outlaw to tutor key artifacts. The commander is a value engine and multiplier rather than a required combo piece. There is no double-faced commander, and the deck has no hidden commander.
